The vibe of the forest camping experience really resonates with nature loving travelers. The RV park is located up the mountain, with a much higher elevation, cooler weather and lots of pine trees. All these things combine to make for a very nice, relaxing and peaceful atmosphere.

There are a few things to consider:

  • Due to the location, there is no cellular service up there and that’s one thing to consider. It kind of allows you to experience nature more and be disconnected, but if you are used to posting your travel vlogs on Youtube or keep your social network updates, you will have a tough time.

There are four different tubs with varying temperatures available to relax in. There are some nice pools too and if you do not want to stay in the hot springs, you can always chill in the pools. What makes this RV park so homely is the staff here – everyone working on site is just super laid back, making it a low stress environment for themselves and the visitors.

The nightly right here starts around 50 bucks but if you stay a month, it is only going to be around 575 bucks, which really discounts that nightly rate.

Another cool thing about this park is they have beehives that have been maintained far out in the woods, which are surrounding the park, to help repopulate the bee colony in the area. The RV park also has disc golf at the park, hiking trails and several more amenities.

As far as considerations go again, this is a park where you can just go and stay in. There is nothing that you need to be prepared for beforehand. The park is indeed a little pricey but if you stay for a week or a month, your per night rate is going to come down.

Mountain Valley RV Resort in Heber City, Utah

Number two on our list is Mountain Valley RV Resort in Heber City, Utah.

Mountain Valley RV Resort is a beautiful sight with the largest accommodations among the RV parks on our list. The resort park is immaculately maintained, with clean restrooms and great pool areas. Talking about pool areas, there is even an adult only pool area, where you need to 21 or over to enter in, and also a family-friendly pool area; so depending what you’re looking for, you can find that at either pools. The community buildings are great too, with workout rooms, pool tables and huge TVs.

Talking about the considerations to keep in mind:

  • The price is about 45 bucks starting so it’s little steep but, otherwise, it is excellent for the amenities on offer.

You will find this a great park for your base, before you set out to explore Sundance and Park City. You can also go on a hiking trail to a nearby waterfall. The whole area of Heber City, in northern Utah, is beautiful and if it is the first time you are visiting, you should stay in this RV park. The closest next city, near to the park, is Salt Lake City – an easy day trip away on your RV.

This park starts out at around 55 dollars a night but you’re getting the full resort experience that has no alternative in the USA. It’s like a luxury hotel for RVers, with a huge park to explore, tons of RV sites to choose from, vintage trailers to rent out, tents, cabins and more! There is a communal area at the front with hanging lights and humongous propane fire pits, which set the perfect vibe. There is even a dining facility on-site, with restaurants serving a variety of dishes.

If you want to have fun, there are at least three different pools on-site and tons of games and stuff to do too.

For the wine lovers, there are so many vineyards available to tour and taste and then right down the road is a Danish architecture community, with little shops to buy souvenirs from.

The only considerations you should keep in mind about this park:

  • Some van sites have trees with very large acorns, which can fall on your roof and damage it.  This is especially a negative factor for people owing vans with thin roofs.
